Brunella Guida
Brunella is a Technical Director at Blue Metocean Consultants, bringing over 20 years of experience in metocean and coastal studies to her role. She obtained a Master’s degree in Marine Environmental Sciences from the University of Pisa in 2003.
Throughout her career, Brunella has concentrated on offshore and coastal oceanography as applied to engineering projects.
Brunella held positions at RINA Consulting from 2011 to 2019 and at the Danish Hydraulic Institute from 2019 to 2022. Here she served as a team manager, project manager, and she was responsible for hydrodynamic data analysis and numerical modeling. She contributed to large-scale energy development projects worldwide.
Leveraging her comprehensive expertise across the different aspects of metocean studies relevant to offshore and nearshore project development, Brunella co-founded the Blue Metocean Consultants srls. Her aim is to provide clients with dedicated assistance by precisely defining and implementing reliable critical design and operational metocean conditions.
Emanuele Terrile
Emanuele is a Technical Director at Blue Metocean Consultants and a chartered engineer with over 19 years of metocean consulting experience. He earned a PhD in Fluid Dynamics from the University of Genoa, focusing on nearshore vortex dynamics.
Over the years, Emanuele has held positions at RINA Consulting and, more recently, within the ALB Group, where he played a pivotal role in a wide range of offshore and coastal metocean studies worldwide. As a metocean manager for numerous offshore projects, he has overseen various critical tasks, including the assessment of typical conditions (e.g., annual/seasonal regime, downtime, weather stand-by windows) and extreme events (e.g., extreme storm characteristics, maximum wind and waves, tropical cyclones, tsunami) impacting project sites. Furthermore, Emanuele has conducted environmental and morphology/scour processes assessemtn across all project stages, from feasibility studies to design implementation.
Drawing on his extensive knowledge and experience in various metocean aspects relevant to offshore and nearshore project development, Emanuele co-founded Blue Metocean Consultants srls.
